As one of the world’s most naturally beautiful spots, it is no wonder that Bali attracts huge numbers of budding photographers and Instagram gurus every year. Thanks to its mix of breathtaking mountains, dream-like waterfalls, and perfect beaches, the island offers plenty of opportunities to experiment with photography and capture the laid-back spirit of its holiday-goers and inhabitants.
We’ve put together a brief list of some of the most pictured places in Bali. Make sure to put them on your itinerary if you’re a tourist looking to come back with a beautiful collection of holiday pictures.
1. Bali’s famous infinity pools
Bali boasts a number of stunning infinity pools that provide amazing backdrops for a little bit of summertime posing. So pull on your most fashionable bikini and relax by some of the island’s most luxurious tourist hotspots.
For a truly picturesque view, head to The Hanging Garden of Bali. This pool was voted one of the world’s best and features two different levels. Jungle Fish is another great option for fans of holiday photography as it is set amongst Ubud’s luscious jungles.
Bali is famous for its spectacular waterfalls. Offering photography backdrops so beautiful you’d be forgiven for thinking they had been Photoshopped, waterfalls such as those in Git-Git, NungNung, Tengenungan, or Sekumpul should be high up on your holiday priorities list.
3. Ridge walks and rice paddies
Head to Ubud to enjoy a photogenic landscape featuring luscious green vistas and quaint paved paths. The Campuhan Ridge Walk is a particular favourite of Instagram stars thanks to its overwhelming beauty.
4. Monkey Forest in Ubud
